Barbara Gallo Design is a women-founded small boutique nestled in Qualicum Beach, on Victoria Island specializing in crafting one-of-a-kind, artisanal cushions.

 It was an absolute pleasure to team up with Barbara to develop a brand identity and website for this new business venture!

Behind the Brand 

We really wanted this brand to feel classic and timeless, something they can grow with as the brand and business evolves. We focused on designing a classic primary logo with a refined script typeface and custom feminine lettering details. The subtle details connect with the brand’s custom made-to-order cushions. When exploring we discovered that Gallo actually means “Rooster” in Spanish and Italian, so we also developed a distinctive and memorable rooster illustration that feels nostalgic. This approach visually reinforces the elevated and premium brand identity while adding an artistic element to the overall timeless brand presence.

The Online Experience

Our priority for this website was to highlight Barbara’s brand values so that her customers would quickly feel aligned with the brand’s mission and custom nature. We built their website on Shopify and added custom code so it aligns with the beautiful brand identity.
